Having larger area this time and creating a frantic labyrinth-like space, we decided to close our 2017 art fairs season with the presentation of the latest works of five of represented artists, whose details you can find below.

More about the artists: Cousteau Tazuke | Macoto Murayama | Zen Tainaka | Taisuke Mohri | Ryo Kikuchi

We will present the new works of Cousteau Tazuke that in different way approaches and overcomes the opposition of abstract and concrete. Tazuke picks up concrete structural/architectural element of an image (branches/leaves/trunks of trees in the forest for example) and presents it in a vibrant expressionistic way. Thus, the work gives itself as an afterimage while the representation is balancing between the reality and impression.
Cousteau Tazuke, The Woods 2016.09.20., acrylic paint, alkyd paint, acrylic resin, 91x91x7cm, 2016

Besides, Botanical Diagrams of cause, Miami is the best place to show kaleidoscope-like arrangements of digital flowers by Macoto Murayama and trigger some "summer-in-the-middle-of-winter" hallucinations in our guests.

Macoto Murayama, Composition - 1 - wc, digital c-print, 150x100cm, 2013, Ed.5
For PULSE Miami 2017 we are preparing 12 paintings long visual story by Zen Tainaka full of mind subverting paradoxes. Pay attention to Tainaka's new twists of space and his endless play with back/foreground. ...not to mention the humor and warm cynicism of the artist.
Zen Tainaka, "Sea Bathing" and "Wiper", acrylic on canvas, 72.7x91x3cm each, 2016
Taisuke Mohri's pencil drawings from the recent "Zip" series present dialectic images that don't stop to connect and disconnect in one visual mechanism reality and illusion, surface and presence, invitation and prohibition. This time we will be glad to present three works from "Zip" to our visitors in PULSE.
Taisuke Mohri, Zip 1, glass, pencil on paper, 48.6x48.6x5cm, 2016
Ryo Kikuchi presents his running away from perception paintings based on his original images of spaces with mystic fog colors and absorptive drive. Acrylic on wooden panel works are completed with silk screen technique and the aerial space turns into dazzling accumulation of regular dots if you try to come closer to it.
